About the brain

Purity is defined in many ways by those who purpose to know exactly what it is. Such definitions of purity are similar to definitions of sanity or normality. These states of mind have broad areas in which the individual may be different but still within the range of any required practice and function. Purity here is broadly defined as keeping strictly to the purpose stated. Thus, a person who wishes to join in the above rituals will need to keep the definitions, methods, focus, goals, openness, etc., in mind and not move away from them into the listed counter-indications. Moving away from the focus on the Tantra, the ritual, the Path, is impurity.

Purity comes from avoiding the influence of your first and second brain circuits. The first circuit lives in fear and a need to dominate. This need to dominate represents a desire for security and is passed on to the Ego (your second brain circuit) which has more ability to communicate and to demand special treatment. You have only the first brain circuit, the Biosurvival Circuit, during your first year of life. This circuit is very primitive and allows the child to survive but only with the help of adults. The second brain circuit (the Ego) begins to function at about the age of 16 to 18 months. The Ego and the Biosurvival brain circuits are the only brain circuits functioning until about the age of 5 or 6 years. At that time, the Rational brain circuit begins to function and the child becomes teachable for complex subjects including math, language skills, philosophy, sociology, and ultimately, anything the University may offer.

Some problems with the first and second brain circuits are that they have serious needs for domination and control, they live in fear and anger, and the Ego in particular is taught shame, blame, and criticism. These two brain circuits are the source of the forbidden emotions outlined earlier. When sexuality is dominated by the Ego, it becomes little more than an exercise in control and domination. Little enjoyment comes from such selfish sexuality and the impurity involved is extremely damaging to the Tantric who is learning to practice purity.

Right brain activity tends to be creative and innovative in character while left brain activity is rational and step-wise. The left brain controls the right side of the body and the right brain controls the left side of the body. Although it is not true that all left-handed people are more creative than right-handed people, many lefties are indeed creative. Ideally, both left- and right-handed people would be able to combine brain hemispheres and be both creative and rational. Unfortunately, most of us are either one or the other and combining both is not taught well in our schools, society, or by our peers.

The right brain contains the fifth brain circuit which is a holistic, superconscious state and is a major goal of Tantric rituals. Opening the fifth brain circuit, represented by Tiphareth in the Tree of Life, brings the feeling of bliss, a vision of wholeness, the abililty to see holistically, and a neurosomatic ability, among many other benefits. It is also the first step to even higher brain circuits with abilities we almost never tap into.

Another right brain activity is sex. The fourth brain circuit, the sexual circuit is located in the right hemisphere of our brains. When this brain circuit is energized, chemical changes are made in the body and brain which are enormously healing, inspirational, and energizing. This energy and chemistry can be used to awaken and energize the fifth brain circuit, creating even more chemical changes in the body of a highly desirable nature. We can heal our bodies with the chemical changes these brain circuits produce (neurosomatic means mind over matter) and many Tantric rituals, many techniques of the Tree of Life, and much of the teachings of the Tao are designed in such a way as to energize these two circuits.

Methods of opening the right brain functions abound and include music, sex, art, exercise, massage, color therapy, aroma therapy, accupressure, polarity therapy, and much more. This book is about Tantra which is the attainment of spiritual values through control of sexual energy. Therefore, we will discuss principally the manner in which sex is used to open the right brain functions and specifically the fourth and fifth brain circuits. In our fore-brain, the frontal lobes, there are several more brain circuits seldom or never used consciously by the average person. We will also discuss later how to open these brain circuits by using the paths created by activating the right brain circuits. The reason sex is emphasized here is because this is the energy which is used to open the even higher and more powerful brain circuits available in our frontal lobe areas, the so-called "new brain" unique to humans and so seldom used by any of us.

The first goal of a student of Tantra is to overcome Ego and Biosurvival circuit control. To do this the student focuses on the Rational and Sexual circuits, excluding the control of sex by the Ego. In this manner, the right brain circuits are opened by the Rational brain circuit and not controlled by the childish and selfish Ego. When this is successful, the student will undergo a major change and the further opening of the right brain will commence with the influence of the fifth brain circuit, the most powerful of the right brain circuits. The Ego has seniority in the circuitry of the brain and normally controls all but the even more senior Biosurvival circuit. It takes a retraining method to move control of the brain from the Ego to the Rational mind, more training to be able to control the energy of the Sexual brain circuit, and even more training to be able to learn to think from the activity of the fifth brain circuit instead of thinking from the Ego or even the Rational mind..

The second goal of Tantra is to introduce the student to ways in which the student can open and control the activities of the fifth brain circuit. This is normally done through the most powerful higher brain circuit available to the conscious control of humans, the fourth brain circuit, the Sexual brain. When control of our sexuality is taken from the Ego and Biosurvival circuits, we can gain Rational mind control over this source of important energy and chemistry. When the Rational brain circuit controls the Sexual brain circuit, the energy of the fourth brain circuit can be raised to much higher levels. Appropriately applied, this will bring the energy levels high enough to begin to energize the fifth brain circuit and thus enhance further the actions of the third and fourth brain circuits. Tantric rituals of sexuality are designed to bring these results about. The key to success is the control over the two lower brain circuits, the Ego and Biosurvival circuits. When these are present, disease and damage are present.

Tantrics throughout the ages have considered the rewards of activation of the higher brain circuits worthy of lifetimes of effort. Even a small burst of fifth circuit activity will have a person walking 3 feet off the ground, totally aware of all about them, and able to perceive, discern, and remain detached from, the problems of other humans. Many people who gain a small dose of fifth brain circuit activity believe they have touched God or at least heard from their god and been blessed abundantly by god powers.

This is the draw of "being saved" or "born again" revivals in which the congregation is aroused though passionate speeches, music, meditation (prayer), and combined energy fields, until their energy is high enough to open the gates to the fifth circuit. Many of these people display physical symptoms similar to epilepsy, gain unusual physical powers (often of healing), have powerful intellectual insights, become holistically elevated into spiritual powers, and gain psychic ability during the period of time the fifth circuit is active. These are just a small amount of the manifold powers of the activity of the fifth brain circuit when opened but out of control. Imagine the power available to us from a fifth brain circuit activated and under our conscious control.

Fifth circuit "junkies" abound in such environments and have a kind of "sinner to saint" mentality. They take a fifth circuit energy hit much as a drug addict takes a hit from their drug of choice. This fifth brain circuit energy changes their body and brain chemistry dramatically. The changed chemistry may wear off in a few hours or a few days, sometimes lasting as long as two weeks but seldom longer without another "hit." When the chemistry wears off, the addict will move to other, easier to obtain and always certain chemistry such as alcohol, pot, cocaine, or other drug of choice, becoming a sinner again. Thus, these addicts must continue to find a source of fifth circuit activation and will attend revivals, prayer meetings of various types, or any other group, method, or technique which will bring their chosen chemistry back to their body. They are out of control in the sense that they do not know what they are doing and need the control of someone else to bring them to fifth circuit glory.

Well, we are all addicts. So, there is nothing wrong with being an addict to our fifth circuit chemistry. The only change I would suggest is that the person be aware that they are addicted to the chemistry, not the church, preacher, bible, group, path, or whatever. However, being addicted to a born-again, Christian, faith-or-be-damned group is better than an addiction to heroin, crack cocaine, or other fifth brain circuit- opening drug. At least with the church group, the person usually has health and a support group and with the drug, there is only the drug and ultimately disease and death.

What do we get from the activation of our fifth brain circuit? The list is long and only a partial listing can be provided at this time. The effort of attainment is certainly worthwhile as you will see from the listing of benefits. These include:

  • Improved communications at all levels;
  • Improved health;
  • Physical agility is improved;
  • Improved sex life;
  • Psychic ability gained;
  • Problem solving is enhanced;
  • Ability to image better;
  • Ability to discern at deeper levels;
  • Creativity is greatly enhanced;
  • Opens new levels of consciousness;
  • Able to learn new things more easily;
  • Increases I.Q.;
  • Harmonizes the individual with the environment;
  • Aids in gaining a positive outlook;
  • Improves financial ability;
  • Improves ability to work;
  • Abundant available energy;
  • and much, much more.

It is really worth an effort to attempt to attain the full functioning of the fifth brain circuit under conscious control.

The technique recommended for permanent opening of the fifth brain circuit is Tantra. In fact, experts advise that the only method of permanent activation of the fifth brain circuit is the study and practice of Tantra. This is not to say that other methods don't open the fifth brain circuit. As mentioned above, revivals, prayer meetings of various types, and many other techniques will open the fifth brain circuit. As also mentioned above, this activation will wear off quickly and is not under the control of the individual. This puts the person in the control of an outside group and is little better than the outside control of a drug (well, definately better than drugs).

The sexual techniques of Tantra may require someone to teach you how to get from s to e to x, but once there, you are the expert on your own brain circuits and can complete your attainment at any level you wish. Thereafter, the opening of your fifth brain circuit is between you and your sexuality. You don't even need a partner for this if you don't want one. Tantra teaches that polarity will raise you to higher levels but that is not a required benefit and the individual can use the Tantric methods as they wish once they are learned and in control. What the student learns is up to the student, not the teacher. What the student wants is up to the student, not the teacher. Whether the teacher will teach is up to the teacher, not the student. What is taught is up to the teacher, not the student. Each has a role, each has their desires, and each must cooperate or the effort is wasted.

Once the decision is made to gain the benefits of fifth brain circuit activity, the student should surround themselves with all the fifth brain circuit activators possible. These include instrumental music, principally classical, light classical, light jazz, and exclude heavy metal, strong drum beats, music with words, country/western music, or other second circuit and first circuit (primative) music or rhythm. Paintings of inspirational character, photographs of nature, appropriate colors, gentle humans, cats, nature, and other inspiring things need to be kept close. Jarring, shocking, harmful, stressful things need to be kept at bay while learning to get and keep fifth circuit activation. Exercise, creative activity such as painting, playing musical instruments, meditating, yogic exercises, and especially sexual activity in all forms, imaging, fantasizing, masturbating, coitus, touching, playing, etc., is extremely important.

Your sexual energy is the key to unlocking the activity of the fifth brain circuit. The sex act is commonly divided into four portions, arousal, plateau stage, orgasm, and relaxation. Arousal can be initiated in many ways and is encouraged at any time the student can do so legally. To gain the plateau stage of sexual performance requires that arousal be maintained for a period of time longer than seven minutes. After about seven to ten minutes of arousal, most people enter the plateau stage of sexual activity and begin to change their body and brain chemistry to one which is similar to the chemistry of puberty. This is the strongest healing and holistic chemistry the body knows and, when prolonged will always bring fifth circuit activity.

Normally, the plateau stage is followed by the orgasm and the chemical factory is shut down. Tantra teaches to keep the chemical factory open by avoiding orgasm in such a way as to enjoy sex but keep the chemical factory going for healing and to keep the fifth brain circuit activity open and continuing to bless us with our own god powers. This is the time to practice Dianism as mentioned previously. Dianism as described is the practice of abundant sexual activity without orgastic emission. This especially applies to males. Females may have many orgasms as long as they don't have so many they cause the chemical factories to shut down. With practice, males may maintain a near orgasm for long periods of time without emission and chemical factory shut down.

Surround yourself with as many things and methods capable of bringing fifth circuit brain activity as you can. To do this, a partial listing of techniques follows:

  • 1. Unlearn traditional ways of thinking. Don't judge or analyze others and their actions or thoughts. Function on a basic, physical, fourth brain circuit sexual plane. Be patient. Be creative. Be different than you were. Give up the past and the disastrous training it contains.

  • 2. Meditate 38 minutes daily. New ideas indicate good meditation.

  • 3. Be aware. Notice everything about you; colors, sounds, people, trees, etc., and try to increase that awareness every day.

  • 4. Listen to dreams, hunches, intuition and sort them out according to second circuit, first circuit, or possible higher brain circuit emanations. Dreams represent the firing of brain cells in specific brain circuits. Many times these are just random firings and mean nothing. Some times, they are not random and tell you what a specific brain circuit is focused on.

  • 5. BELIEVE YOU CAN DO THIS! Don't rely on the opinions of others to judge and evaluate your path. Rely on the discernment of your teacher and guide as you build a new ability to rely on your own discernment based on the new understanding and knowledge of the world around you.

  • 6. Surround yourself with the following:
    flowers, potted or fresh cut
    music, classical or light classical
    bright colors
    bright lights
    bright odors
    sensual touch and thought
    sexual activity
    views of scenic nature
    helpful, respectful, and similar friends

  • 7. Be creative to some extent each day

  • 8. Read about your Path. Study regularily

  • 9. Good nutrition

  • 10. Use activity to open the fifth brain circuit. Practice Tantric rituals of all levels where legally possible. The physical world works to bring forth physical energy. Don't rely on mental energy to boost your physical energy to the levels required to reach your goal. These methods abound and are great for the spiritual couch potato. Get off your couch and make some mental, spiritual, and physical progress each day.

Tantric rituals can be connected with the paths of the Tree of Life which is a map of the functioning of the human brain. Prolonged sexual activity, such as the Tantric rituals represent, always produce some fifth brain circuit activity. This also creates the strongest healing chemistry known for the human body. Active sex is said to clear the right brain and allow holistic thought processes to flow.

Tantric methods note that the lower chakras may be clogged with excess sexual energy of unwanted frequencies and this should be cleared out to be replaced with sexual energy of the desired character and frequency. The reason for this is that we have all been trained to relate Ego and sex. Thus, sex is often done in anger, domination, control, pain, or other harmful emotion. Any of this energy needs to be released and replaced with new sexual energy.

There are certain characteristics of a fifth circuit influenced person and certain characteristics of a third circuit (Rational) influenced person. If you wish to have more third circuit activity in your life, try to behave as the list below notes for third circuit characteristics. If you wish to grow in fifth circuit activity, try to create in your daily life as much of the fifth circuit characteristics as you can.

  • Fifth brain circuit

  • Creative in art
  • Can do many things at once
  • Clairvoyant, intuitive
  • Poetry easy, joyful
  • Visualize whole picture
  • Bright colors
  • Solids
  • Likes cats
  • Good at make believe
  • Yogurt, fruit
  • Love to explore
  • On time - never
  • Sensitive to surroundings

  • Third brain circuit
  • Need direction
  • Good at math
  • Must do one thing at a time
  • Rational
  • Poetry boring
  • Visualize one part at a time
  • Subdued colors
  • Plaids, checks
  • Likes dogs
  • Not good at make believe
  • Hamburgers, french fries
  • Fear of unknown
  • On time - always
  • Not aware of surroundings

These are a few of the comparisons to note between a third circuit personality and a fifth circuit personality. Of course, a balanced person may be able to be some of all of both lists as they need in their daily life.

The fourth brain circuit is not a thinking circuit. At the point of orgasm you are not making grocery lists nor working complex fractions mentally. When the sexual brain circuit takes over such thought processes are put aside until later. The reason for this mental state is that the brain normally works with a single brain circuit in charge and two more brain circuits functioning but in lesser, supportive roles. This is the reason the Tantric techniques work so well. Tantra energizes the third brain circuit, the Rational mind, moving away from emotional childishness of the lower brain circuits. This brain circuit is used to energize the fourth brain circuit which is brought to a highly energized state but kept secondary to the Rational mind. If orgasm were allowed, not only would the chemistry shut down but the Sexual mind would take control for a short period of time and possibly allow the quick reacting second circuit Ego to grab control.

As the sexual energy builds, the third brain circuit must increase its energy level to maintain control. Thus, the third brain circuit will begin to open a path to the fifth brain circuit also with the increased energy and focus on patterns which the Rational mind requires. The high energy of the fourth brain circuit opens a path from the Sexual brain to the fifth brain circuit and the two brain circuits working together increase the activity of the fifth brain circuit in the consciousness of the adept.

The fourth brain circuit is also highly vulnerable to outside influence and energies. The genetic code is protected by creating a Biosurvival sexual need to create babies and carry on the species. The Ego is given territory to protect through a sexual need to dominate and control. The Rational mind has little of these needs and can be counted on to bring a healthier attitude to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. Please note that you must protect your fourth circuit from the predatory Ego and fearful Biosurvival circuits. You must also protect the Sexual brain from outside predation and bad energy. To do this, visualise a white or golden light surrounding you as a shield when you feel bad energies. When such energies are bad, visualize a mirror-like shield reflecting energy back to the source. Picture a favorite Mandala or Yantra, say a Mantra either mentally or aloud, and especially, visualize how you want things to be in your emotional and sexual condition.

Draw on your loved one for protection. Reach out mentally and join with your teacher for protection. Meditate an area of safety and create shields around you to keep your focus. Ask for protection during obesience each day. Keep yourself from outside influence which will destroy your efforts and create harm for you and your loved ones.

The principle gods of Tantra include Shakti, Siva, and Kali. Each should be considered not as a living individual but as a representative of the focus of the human mind. Shakti represents the icon of the symbolism of the bright side of the Tree of Life. Siva represents the icon of the symbolism of the dark side of the Tree of Life. These are highly simplified descriptions of the very complex transcendental symbols they represent.

Within these icons are many more incons representing sub-deities such as Kali, one of the icons of Shakti representing the glyph on the Tree of Life known as Geburrah. Kali thus represents the great celestial surgeon, trimming useless material from the emotional and intellectual mine of mankind. The glyph or symbol known as Geburrah further represents the sixth brain circuit of the human brain. When "earthed" or grounded in science and a more mundane knowledge of how our brain and body functions, the goddess Kali becomes a much richer and more functional icon representing not imaginary god powers but real human powers which can be used by each individual. Thus, the use of such icons such as the goddess Kali allows us to use a shorthand method of talking about our own abilities, powers, and godhood.

We are each gods, learning our jobs and abilities. Just as children learn the roles of maturity, we have little awareness of our mature role as gods. The child plays at being a doctor or lawyer, fireman or farmer, but never actually believes they are or will be. It is just a role and fun to copy what is imagined as reality. When the reality of 20 hour days and the terror of medical internship is encountered as an adult, the child quickly grows up and the play is realized for what it really was. When the budding lawyer encounters night after night reading through legal precedents and writing volumes of "boilerplate", the childhood image of glory fades into the reality of hard work, nuts and bolts, bed pans and vomit, mud and dirt, and very little real glory. The job of growing up and becoming is not anything a child can imagine. Nor would many professionals become engineers, chemists, doctors, etc., if they knew in advance what it would take to attain that goal and then what it would take to maintain that status. Such is the situation of becoming a god. Just as the child has the doctor in them, you have a god in you. It is up to you to liberate your godhood.

Kali represents a specific sephiroth (single point) on the Tree of Life and Shakti represents an overall characteristic of the Tree of Life. Since Shakti is the principle goddess of the study of most forms of Tantra, it is not suprising that Shakti is representative of the sexual energy of the bright side of the Tree of life. As the symbol of the sexual energy of humans, Shakti shines forth from the symbols of the Tree of Life with intense energy and beacons from sephiroth to sephiroth through the paths connecting the individual aspects of the Tree of Life. The energy of Shakti flows throughout the Tree of Life and is represented by the sephiroth Daath, the hidden sephiroth. Daath is present throughout the Tree of Life and it is said that where ever the student is focused on the Tree of Life, there also is Daath and the powers represented by Daath. The word Shakti could have been exchanged for the word Daath and the image of energetic support would not only have been the same but even more empowered. Thus, Shakti is the goddess of Tantra for a very good reason. Tantra uses the energy of human sexuality to reach and liberate human higher spiritual powers (among many other things Tantra teaches).

Siva, representing the dark side of the Tree of Life, is often used to guide religions or methods of attainment that are often considered as using darker or even evil powers. Voodoo, satanism, wizardry, and other religions considered to be worshipers of evil methods often use Siva or a Siva-like god as the principle god of their work. By no means is Wicca any more evil than Christianity, in fact, Wicca is a natural earth religion and predates most or all other religions. Nor are satanism and wizardry intrinsically evil. Satanism is a reaction to Jehovaism and has killed or harmed far fewer people than so called Christian religions. More people have been killed in the name of some good(???) god than have been harmed even slightly by Wicca, satanism, wizardry, or other arcane methods. It would be impossible to estimate how many humans have died at the hands of well?-meant Christians. It is impossible for me to read the teachings of Christ and then imagine killing a fellow human in the name of those same teachings of that kind and gentle fellow human from Nazarath. But that has been done, is being done, and will continue to be done! Christ must be horrified at what is being done in his name.

Siva, at least, represents a straight Alpha Male characteristic to his godhood and is a forthright symbol of a specific methodology. It is difficult to misrepresent the macho methods of Siva and such methods of attainment have always enslaved the woman to the needs of the male. Such enslavement is a trap for both male and female but the slave owner seldom sees the trap and believes they are free. No one is ever free when tied to slavery either as slave or slave owner. Siva makes no bones about the strength of being the slave owner and never comes to grips with the trap of slavery. When the guidance of Siva is used without the trap of slavery, the strength of Siva is empowering when used in conjunction with Shakti. Only together can Siva empower humans to higher powers without slavery. Sharing, and only sharing brings empowerment at the highest levels. Shakti alone brings high powers but Shakti and Siva together bring powers that reach higher and can bring attainment to the highest possible levels.

Each sephiroth on the Tree of Life (there are ten sephiroth) represents a different brain circuit of the human brain. Each sephiroth is described in such a way as to agree with the more recently discovered scientific descriptions of human brain functioning. Thus, the Tree of Life is firmly rooted in reality and is a functional symbol set. As noted above, the symbol known as the Tree of Life consists of a sub-set of symbols known as sephiroth. Each of these sub-sets contain sub-sets describing the powers and characteristics available within the sephiroth and Tree of Life. For instance, Kali, the sub-set of Shakti that destroys useless aspects of the emotional life of humans is representative of the sephiroth Geburrah. Geburrah is representative of the ability of the human brain to control the health of the human body. As Jung says, "from here come beasties and demons", clearly indicating the harshness of the sixth brain circuit represented on the Tree of Life by the sephiroth Geburrah and further represented in Tantra by the goddess Kali. The goddess Kali has many sub-sets of abilities beginning with the representation of her many arms (usually nine arms), each of which has a specific job to do, or specific meaning, or representative aspect of the methods of attainment. Thus are all the abilities of the human brain listed in the shorthand method represented by the many gods and many aspects of gods of Tantra. The Tree of Life lists the abilities of the human brain through the shorthand method of sephiroth, paths, and gods supposedly empowering the sephira and paths.

As a student, you hold a great amount of responsibility. You must choose a path wisely. You must choose a teacher wisely. You will give up all (ALL) of the past ways and mannerisms. The student must be co-equal with the teacher and remain as a student and not become the teacher. The student can gain understanding as a student and will never be the teacher of their teacher. The student will not carry skepticism into the learning process.

Let us begin with the skeptic. The student cannot carry skepticism into the learning process. It would not be pointless to repeat that several more times. Use it as a mantra if that will help you get past that point. It is also OK to listen (or read carefully if you prefer) MY awareness on this point. The skeptic has not yet chosen and is testing. This is inappropriate for a learning process and is abusive to a teacher. The testing and doubting needs to be done prior to working with a teacher. Putting tests, doubts, demands, and worse, hostile teaching on a teacher is abusive.

The student has the responsibility to choose a path carefully. The student has the responsibility to choose a teacher carefully. None of this is the responsibility of the teacher. None of this is the responsibility of the path. Once these have been chosen by the student, teaching, skepticism, hostility, demands of proof, questioning the path or teacher, are all inappropriate. You as a student have chosen the path and teacher. If the teacher allows you to begin in a sharing, you cannot demand of the teacher that they continuously validate YOUR choice. You should have done that prior to bringing the teacher into your world. If you bring a teacher into your life and then question, demand, teach, ignore the teacher, and so on, you have brought a teacher not to learn but to abuse.

You will give up all the past ways of your life or you will not have changed to the new way. You may change but it will be in ways that are in the contol of your past habits and attitudes. This is likely what you have gone to a teacher to change. Unless you give up all the past ways of your life, you will remain under the control of exactly what you said you wanted to avoid. Not only that, but the past ways will now be even more in control and much more difficult to change. Change to the new ways completely and THEN you can safely choose (carefully) those of the old ways you will keep.

You say the teacher does many things they will not allow you, the student, to do? My, My, how arrogant. You are demanding the teacher come to your level! How abusive. You are demanding the teacher be as the student and not as the teacher. Thus, the kindergarten teacher cannot drive a car since the 5 year old student cannot or the 5 year old can say the teaching and teacher are invalid. Wow. Don't think that is an exaggeration, it is actually common.

For example, the person giving up alcohol cannot continue to go to their favorite bar. They cannot carry an alcoholic drink in their hand as they used to. They cannot sip an alcoholic drink and spit it out. They cannot "take a nip" and think all is well. They cannot pine for the "good old days" of wine and roses. They cannot stand outside their favorite bar and smell the beer. They cannot put up budweiser and miller and schlitz, and other beer or whisky or vodka, or gin, or etc., signs in their house and sing the beer jingles and remember how they enjoyed life so much more when they could drink. This list could go on and on. The teacher may not have a problem with alcohol and can do some (not likely all since they don't have that problem) of these things. The teacher may go to the bar and have a drink. The student cannot.

You cannot stop drinking until you stop.
You cannot change until you change.
You cannot learn until you become a student.

It is important to understand that a student cannot learn a new spiritual path and combine it with their old path, mixing and matching as it suits them without being on neither path. You can do this of course but not while being a student. If you become a student of Plato, you cannot teach Plato to be a catholic so you can be a platonic catholic. While you are learning from Plato, you must learn the path of Plato. After learning the path of Plato, you may stop being a student and join the two paths to suit yourself. Remember not to tell the world that Plato taught you Catholic Plato because that is not true. Tell the world you learned from Plato and from the Pope and you joined them, calling it Poto (or whatever), and don't say that it is Plato's path.

Is the student equal with the Teacher? Yes of course. The student has a role. The teacher has a role. They are equally important. If two things are equally important are they not equal? The teacher needs to stay in their role. They are not allowed to become the student. When that happens, learning ends and confusion begins. The student cannot become the teacher of their teacher. In order to learn, the student needs to be in their own equal role and not become the teacher. If the student needs to teach, they must go and allow the universe to deliver students for them to teach. The student must never teach their teacher or learning ends and equality will have been stolen by the student, robbing the teacher of their role and training the student in abuse.

And, again, you say that the teacher says they are learning more than the student. And, you say you hear this from all teachers so why can't the teacher become the student since they all say they are learning more than the student and that means they are even more of a student than the student. Whew!! What convoluted thinking. The worst part is that many, many people think this way. Of course the teacher learns more than the student. The teacher is no longer on the same level as the student. Is it right for the student to demand the teacher function at the same level as the student? Outrageous. The teacher is not learning the same things the student is learning. When the student becomes a teacher of the same level, the student will then understand. Until then, the teacher will remain the teacher and the student will remain the student or learning is at an end and abuse has begun.

If you have chosen poorly, stop. If you chose without good understanding of the teacher or the path, you have made a mistake, not the teacher or the path. If you are weak and backslide, the teacher and the path are not to blame, you are weak. The path (whatever it may be) does not backslide. The teacher (whatever they teach) does not backslide. It matters not if you are the only student of the path you have chosen and there are none others in the world. A path or a teacher is not validated by the number of followers, practitioners, or teachers. If that were so, the catholic church would be the ONLY church to belong to as it was for a thousand years (in the realm of christianity anyway) and neither you nor I are likely to want that to be back in existance.

If as a student, you gain understanding slowly, it is not the path or the teacher, it is you who are gaining slowly. If it is your perception you are gaining slowly, you are making a mistake. If it is your teachers perception you are gaining slowly, it is your responsibility to learn from that whatever the teacher is bringing forth. As a student, you must put aside your perceptions and rely on the teacher to teach you about the new life you have chosen. As a student, you have not chosen a new life for the teacher. As a student, you have not chosen to be the teachers teacher and tell them what to teach and how to teach and when to teach and whether their teaching is correct or not. All teachers teach correctly all the time for the path that they teach. Read that over a few times and get it down, it is accurate and important.

As a student it is not appropriate to force a schedule on the teacher. If you demand a time, place, progress, select the part to be taught, practice the portions you chose, turn away from the parts of the teaching you decide are not for you, and so on, you have brought a teacher into your life for you to abuse.

As a student it is not appropriate to chose the teaching you want and reject the portion you do not want. You have the responsibility to chose a path. Then you have the responsibility to chose a teacher. The path does not seek you out. the teacher does not seek you out. Even teachers who put out signs and actively tempt followers are only following their path and not specifically seeking YOU. You may pass by and go on to another path or remain on the one you already have. Only governments and cults use guns to train you with. In those cases, they are not teachers but trainers. Yes, and you will play the role of animal. When you turn the roles and force the teacher to be trained by you, the teacher is being treated as an animal by the student because the student has abandoned the path and teacher and turned their roles into lies. Such teaching of the teacher can only be done by forcing. Forcing is training, not teaching. You the student have chosen. Stay or go. Do nothing else or you become an abuser and a trainer of animals.

IF YOU ARE YOUR OWN STUDENT, READING THIS WRITING then, you must apply all of the above to your choice. You will be abusing yourself, not the writing or the path. You can abuse a teacher but not a path. The path just is. The teaching just is. The teacher is human and can be abused. Doing the things described above (among many other things students do to teachers) is abusive to a teacher. If you are abusing a teacher you are an abusive person. Read that a few times, it is accurate and important. Keep in mind that abusing a teacher and therefore being an abusive person is in that case, YOUR path, not the teachers. If the teacher continues with you it is the teacher that is patient. It does not mean the teacher likes abuse. It does mean you are being forgiven (at some level) and given more chances to show your path. If that path continues to be abusive, you will eventually get the message and the teacher has done a good job. If you give up the abuse and begin to be a student, learning the path you have chosen from the teacher you have chosen, you will have done a good job and so will the teacher. If the teacher quits teaching an abusive student, the student should learn from the teaching. No teacher ever is wrong for the path they teach.

Once again. No teacher is ever wrong for the path they teach. If you go to a teacher to learn the earth is flat, that teacher will teach you the earth is flat. No matter what physical truth may be in the science realm, the teacher will teach you how to see the path of flat earth. The teacher cannot be wrong for the path they teach. Yes, I know the world is round but it is possible to see an alternate viewpoint and that someone could believe the flat earth viewpoint completely and be able to teach the manner of that belief. No matter if the teacher's path is one that says we are television pixels dancing to a demon god's pleasure. The teacher teaches that path and the method of seeing that path and is NOT WRONG.

The path may be wrong for you. The teacher may be wrong for you. The teacher is correct for the path the teacher teaches. At this level, only the student can be wrong.

Now you know something about how to become a student. But you say, the teacher does not live as they teach. Well, I say, the teacher has the responsibility to teach a path, not to follow the path according to the perception of some student. Do you really think that a kindergarten teacher must live the life of a 5 year old to be able to teach a five year old? Do you think a history teacher should be allowed to speak only of history and live only the life of history and never partake of modern, non-historical pleasures and life style? Is the spanish teacher invalidated because they also speak english? What an interesting and arrogant judgement. You who think this are abusive. You are on the path of abuse. You are teaching abuse. You will live by this sword and it shall follow you all the days of your life.

If you chose to be a student; be one! If you chose to be abusive, you will show that and will learn that. Keep in mind that a teacher may continue with an abusive student for that student to learn who they are and the path they are on. Teachers teach in many ways. Students can learn in only one way. Reread all of the above if you don't understand. Read it until it makes sense. What is written here is accurate and important.

As you can tell, there is room for about twelve books in what is written in the above paragraphs. As a teacher, I expect you, the student, to gain the knowledge of those twelve books from the few paragraphs written above. I tell you that I can see the depth. It is now the responsibility of the student to gain that ability since the teacher has pointed it out. Personally, I can't read this often enough. It runs through my head as a mantra daily. I am after all, my own student. If I abuse me, where can I go to avoid abuse? YOU WHO ARE READING THIS AND ARE YOUR OWN TEACHERS, PLEASE READ THIS OVER AND OVER. DO NOT LET YOUR STUDENT ABUSE YOU! YOU CANNOT GET AWAY FROM THIS STUDENT, THE ABUSER LIES WITHIN YOU. To put it Biblically, "woe unto they who teach themselves if their student be abusive."

It is tough enough to work with an abusive student let alone someone teaching themselves. It has been my practice in the past to allow abusive students to continue until they find how abusive they are and then, if they won't stop being abusive to end the teaching from my end. I feel it is important to allow a fellow human to learn of who they are and where that came from. It is also important to know that once the student finds that they are abusive and they don't stop, it is because they have joined that teaching. The teacher then needs to stop being a target for the abusers practice. Thus, I have often worked with students far longer than the time in which they were learning the path I teach. As time progressed, their abuse became so obvious even the blindest of them finally began to see the level of abuse they were creating. At that point, it is the teachers responsibility to decide if the student is going to continue to teach abuse or if the student will now change and learn as a student. The teacher has done the job when the student gains awareness. That awareness may take many forms and very often, the teaching will stop almost immediately thereafter. Only a few students gaining that first level of awareness realize it is just like going to school. When the teacher says you must now come back next year and start all over again with even more difficult things to do and learn, most students are resentful and wish to resign. Oh well, higher levels of attainment are not for all.

Do you know how to be a student? Can you be your own teacher? You can be your own non-abusive teacher only if you also know how to be a student. Do you really want to be a teacher? Learn to be a student. Of course, if you understand what is written above, you can begin teaching now, ready or not. Believe me, no teacher is not ready (a little Germanic double-negative there). If you understand nothing of what is here written, begin teaching and you will be a teacher of your path. You will be the right and correct teacher (although likely an abusive student to yourself) of your path. You can not be anything else. Can you be wrong? Not for YOUR path. Can I be wrong? Not for MY path.

Are you looking at these words? Are you learning? You are a student. Are you skeptical? Are you rejecting? Are you making up new ways to see this and to correct the path of words shown here? If so, you are a student of another path and you are welcome to my words. If you come to me personally and become my student and then attack my teaching, you will not be a student, you will be a trainer and you will be abusive. You cannot abuse my path, it just is. You cannot abuse my written word, it just is. You can abuse me, for I am human. You can abuse YOU, for you are human. Teach yourself wisely for each of us is our own path. Treat your teacher carefully and with honor for as you behave, so shall you learn and so shall you become.
